3500km in Europe
On 11. September 2008 I started my tour to Barcelona to visit my girl friend. She is working for a german flavor company Symrise and was sent to work for the spanish plant near Barcelona
I was there 4 times by plane and now wanted to make a trip with my car, a Mercedes Vito.

I like the Metro in Barcelona, Taxi are also very cheap.
After on day in Barcelona we started our tour to Andorra for the weekend 12.9.2008.
Andorra is a very modern country which can be compared with a mixture of Monaco and Liechtenstein..... :-)
Diesel / gasoline is extremely cheap because of low tax

You need an address and then they will decide if you get one. But it needs sometimes a year before they hand out documents. So this is not for last minute travelling. I never expected to receive a license here but tried to get some information for later holidays........
So become a millionaire, buy a house and ask for license maybe ?
Even without license, Andorra is a very beautiful part of the world and one should go there to visit. You will love it !
If I had to decide between 3A, HB0 and C3 I would choose C3, at least because of the great food :-) and the best location for working DX.
We just had one night in Andorra and returned to Barcelone because Julia had to work on Monday.
I also met my Karate trainer Erhard and his wife. They were on a ship cruising the mediterranean sea

After some very nice days together with Julia I returned back home via France to Monaco on 19.9.2008. There were no hotel rooms available because of the Monaco Boat Show. So I slept in my car. Anyway, I was operatin all night long. No sleep needed.
In the morning I took a bath in the mediterranean get awake :-)

look at the low gas usage because of speed limit on french highway :-)
By the Way, the Bus has a V6 3 Liter engine with 240HP/PS.....215km/h is maximum but nice to drive. you never feel beeing slow with this "maybe fasted and biggest hamshack of the world" :-)

Another visit at Monaco Radio. The maritime radio station. I have been there in 1990 when I was 17 years old first time I think. He remembered me. 3A2LZ was a ham working there then, but he returned to LZ a while ago.

Via Menton F to Italy and then later to HB9 / HB0
I didn't take any pictures from now on, it was dark, and I have so many pictures from HB0 on my other sites..... no big antennas, only 15m fishing rod and 100w.
I had all weather ! Hot in Barcelona, hot in Monaco, then next night very cold in the Liechtenstein mountains.... needed the camp heating from my car. I made just a few hundred QSO each from 3A and HB0, and some mobiling in France, Italy and Spain. It was nice to talk to Murtada 9K2MU from Barcelona Beach
