DL2OBO/6Y5 Jamaica 1993

Well, not too many pictures here. I make it short. In Spring 1993 we went to Jamaica and stood in Montego Bay, Hotel Corall Cliff. Mr. Lloyd Alberga ( He helpedme with the License) knew the manager from the hotel and so we had a nice room with good antenna possibilities. Rig was a TS940 (20kg, yes, there were no IC706, FT817 that time...) a triband vertical and a MFJ coupler and some wire. I worked a lot of US and also some EU's on 80m. Red Stripe is the local beer brand. It is really tasty. As well as the Planters Punch at the beach bar. Music is a special thing on Jamaica and it gives the special feeling. Try to go to Negril if you plan holidays on Jamaica. Long white Beaches with palms like on picture postcards. I liked the old cars with big engines. We don't have such bloodcurdling sound in Germany. 5 liter sound different to a 1,6l Volkswagen,hi.
