how to get license on Palau:

She can book at better rates than if you book directly at PPR. She also helps with the license and radio room # 214 (sea view).
She operates a travel agency in Tokyo and is very helpful with all questions you have. API is "first class service!"

He is very helpful and quick with emails. I got my license very quick. but please, try to be better prepared than I was. Give him 4 week at least. License costs about 70 Euro / 80 US$ (YMMV :-)
Scan your license and Passport and fill out the application form and send all to Mr. Temol. You may ask for vanity callsign.

He is very quick with emails and offers a lot of help. Both shacks/hotel are nice if you go alone or with other ham friends.
But you need PPR or "The Village" if you are on honeymoon or travel with your girlfriend, wife and/or family for their leisure entertainment.

James offered helping with antennas, staff will climb into trees and so on. The area is not good for yagis! But no problem with verticals or dipoles in the trees. I have not been there, but from many emails I feel
hams are really welcomed there!

If I ever go in to the Pacific in future, I will ask for license EARLY enough and book at "The village". Remember they have no radio station installed there, you need to bring all!
James said, there are some antennas left behind from other hams that one may use. The have free WIFI!!!!!! at PPR I will pay 8US$ for 2h!!!

"The Village" is more than good to go there with your wife and/or family. They will enjoy!

I talked to DL7JAN who operated from the rental shack ofAmbran V85SS. Jan said, this is a very nice place to go for operate. If you are on honeymoon: all is nice, but the beach is tooooo far away :-)
